We are looking for an experienced Mobile Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our team, working across commercial sites in the designated region. This is a mobile role covering multiple buildings, carrying out PPM, reactive maintenance, fault finding and electrical repairs in a professional, customer‑focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out PPM (Planned Preventive Maintenance) on electrical systems including lighting, power, emergency lighting and distribution boards.
  • Complete reactive maintenance, electrical repairs and breakdown support across multiple client sites.
  • Diagnose electrical faults quickly and return systems to service.
  • Undertake minor electrical installation works and remedial tasks.
  • Complete electrical testing and inspection duties (EICR tasks where qualified).
  • Update logbooks, service sheets and compliance documentation.
  • Ensure safe working practices through risk assessments and method statements.
  • Maintain full compliance with health & safety regulations and company procedures.
  • Manage spare parts and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.
  • Update CAFM systems (e.g. Maximo) ensuring accurate job closure.
  • Provide excellent customer service and represent the business professionally.
  • Support subcontractors on site and supervise works when required.
  • Take part in an out‑of‑hours call‑out rota.
  • Perform additional duties required by the engineering and management team.

Knowledge & Skills

  • NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation or Electrical Maintenance (essential).
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (essential).
  • C&G 2391 Test & Inspection (preferred but not essential).
  • Full UK driving licence.

Experience

Essential

  • Previous experience as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer in commercial buildings.
  • Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic skills.
  • PPM, reactive maintenance and minor electrical works.
  • Experience working in FM, Building Services or multi‑site mobile roles.

Desirable

  • Basic mechanical awareness (e.g. pumps, fans, motors).
  • Familiarity with BMS systems.
  • Experience working in corporate, high‑security or critical environments (data centres, financial buildings).
