Are you an experienced engineering leader ready to step into a role where you can truly make an impact? We are looking for an Engineering Supervisor to provide handsâon leadership, technical expertise, and operational oversight across a highâprofile client portfolio.
You will lead a team of skilled engineers, ensure safe and efficient site operations, and deliver exceptional service standards that meet and exceed contractual expectations.
What Youâll Be Doing
- Leadership & Team Management
- Provide dayâtoâday leadership, direction, and development to engineering teams (Shift & Day Engineers).
- Conduct annual appraisals following BGIS training completion.
- Ensure engineers are equipped, supported, and informed to deliver a highâquality service.
- Act as first point of contact for all inâhours shift issues and mechanical escalations.
- Health & Safety / Compliance
- Take responsibility for site H&S compliance and promote a strong safety culture.
- Act as onâsite HV/LV Authorised Person when qualified and on shift.
- Ensure Permit to Work (PTW) and LOTO systems are followed in line with BGIS and client requirements.
- Ensure statutory, code, and contractual compliance across all sites.
- Operational Delivery
- Oversee subcontractor performance, RAMS adherence, and safe working.
- Ensure PPMs, reactive tasks, and audits are completed to a high standard and recorded accurately in CAFM systems (e.g., Maximo, Concept).
- Plan PPM schedules and manage workload distribution with the Area Contract Manager.
- Attend and review statutory work to ensure correct procedures are followed.
- Support engineers with technical queries and handsâon tasks when required.
- Customer & Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with the Area Contract Manager and Contract Support to maintain exceptional service levels.
- Ensure prompt attendance and resolution of callouts in coordination with the helpdesk.
- Provide weekly operational reports and escalate nonâapproved works that may impact service delivery.
- Continuous Improvement
- Maintain accurate asset registers and ensure all equipment is labelled correctly.
- Proactively source additional works, obtain quotes, and support procurement.
- Investigate operational incidents and provide detailed reports and recommendations.
What Youâll Bring
- Proven experience as an Engineering Supervisor or Manager within building services.
- Strong background in mechanical, electrical, or multiâskilled engineering.
- Experience managing and developing engineering teams.
- Solid understanding of building services, statutory compliance, and FM operations.
- Ability to manage subcontractors and oversee safe systems of work.
- Experience delivering FM services (desirable).
- Exposure to performance management, appraisals, and people development (desirable).
