We're recruiting a Deputy Shift Leader to join our facilities team at a prestigious, iconic building near Cannon Street. What You'll Be Doing:
- Supervise and support a shift team delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on critical M&E systems
- Respond to building faults quickly and efficiently to maintain seamless operations
- Manage sub-contractors and ensure all work is completed safely and to the highest standards
- Use CAFM systems to log tasks, track progress, and maintain compliance
- Oversee plant room maintenance, ensuring cleanliness, security, and full operational standards
- Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and ensure KPIs and SLAs are consistently met
- Prepare Risk Assessments and Method Statements in line with health and safety regulations
- Step into the Shift Leader role when required and act as a professional point of contact for clients
What We're Looking For:
Essential:
- Formal qualification in Electro-Mechanical engineering (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
- Proven experience in building services maintenance within corporate, commercial, or complex environments
- HV Authorised Person certification (current or previous)
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience
- Experience working shifts and providing cover at short notice
- Strong communication skills and a logical, solution-focused approach to problem-solving
- IT literate with experience using CAFM or maintenance management systems
Desirable:
- Experience working in high-profile or state-of-the-art facilities
- Knowledge of compliance standards, PPE, and Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures
