Deputy Shift Leader – Building Services | Cannon Street, London | Competitive Salary + Benefits

We\’re recruiting aDeputy Shift Leaderto join our facilities team at a prestigious, iconic building near Cannon Street. If you have a background in building services maintenance and want to develop your leadership skills in a professional, fast-paced environment, this is the perfect opportunity.

What You\’ll Be Doing:

• Supervise and support a shift team delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on critical M&E systems
• Respond to building faults quickly and efficiently to maintain seamless operations
• Manage sub-contractors and ensure all work is completed safely and to the highest standards
• Use CAFM systems to log tasks, track progress, and maintain compliance
• Oversee plant room maintenance, ensuring cleanliness, security, and full operational standards
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and ensure KPIs and SLAs are consistently met
• Prepare Risk Assessments and Method Statements in line with health and safety regulations
• Step into the Shift Leader role when required and act as a professional point of contact for clients

What We\’re Looking For:

Essential:

• Formal qualification in Electro-Mechanical engineering (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
• Proven experience inbuilding services maintenancewithin corporate, commercial, or complex environments
• HV Authorised Personcertification (current or previous)
• Previoussupervisory or team leadership experience
• Experience working shifts and providing cover at short notice
• Strong communication skills and a logical, solution-focused approach to problem-solving
• IT literate with experience using CAFM or maintenance management systems

Desirable:

• Experience working in high-profile or state-of-the-art facilities
• Knowledge of compliance standards, PPE, and Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures
