Business Development Manager – Facilities Management (FM)

Location: UK (National)
Hours: Monday-Friday
Reports to: VP – Client Solutions, UK & Europe

BGIS is growing rapidly in the UK & Europe, and we\’re looking for an experienced BDM to help us win new business and strengthen existing accounts across our target sectors.

About the Role

As a Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in identifying, developing and closing FM opportunities that align with our strategic growth plans. You\’ll manage the full sales lifecycle-from lead generation and pipeline management to bid ownership, tender documentation and client presentations.

This is a high-impact role that requires relationship-building, commercial awareness and excellent communication skills.

What You\’ll Be Doing

  • Leading and coordinating FM bids to achieve and exceed annual sales targets
  • Building strong, long-term relationships with new and existing clients
  • Creating a healthy pipeline of opportunities across current and emerging markets
  • Managing the full sales cycle: SQ, RFI, RFP, proposal writing and presentations
  • Producing high-quality pitch documents using Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Working closely with the UK and Global Client Solutions teams
  • Partnering with Marketing on messaging, campaigns and client engagement
  • Representing BGIS at events, conferences and networking forums
  • Staying informed on market trends, competitor activity and industry developments
  • Ensuring all new business opportunities go through correct internal approvals
  • Managing tender documentation, re-bids and contract records
  • Supporting retention and continuous improvement activities for current clients

What We\’re Looking For

Essential

  • Minimum 5 years\’ professional sales experience (service or technical sector preferred)
  • Strong communicator with excellent written and verbal skills
  • Highly organised and detail-driven
  • Target-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM

Desirable

  • Experience selling Hard FM solutions
  • FM-related memberships or professional accreditations
  • Higher education to HNC/HND or degree level
  • Sales or marketing qualifications
