Business Development Manager β Facilities Management (FM)

BGIS is growing rapidly in the UK & Europe, and we\βre looking for an experienced BDM to help us win new business and strengthen existing accounts across our target sectors.
About the Role
As a Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in identifying, developing and closing FM opportunities that align with our strategic growth plans. You\βll manage the full sales lifecycle-from lead generation and pipeline management to bid ownership, tender documentation and client presentations.
This is a high-impact role that requires relationship-building, commercial awareness and excellent communication skills.
What You\βll Be Doing
- Leading and coordinating FM bids to achieve and exceed annual sales targets
- Building strong, long-term relationships with new and existing clients
- Creating a healthy pipeline of opportunities across current and emerging markets
- Managing the full sales cycle: SQ, RFI, RFP, proposal writing and presentations
- Producing high-quality pitch documents using Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Working closely with the UK and Global Client Solutions teams
- Partnering with Marketing on messaging, campaigns and client engagement
- Representing BGIS at events, conferences and networking forums
- Staying informed on market trends, competitor activity and industry developments
- Ensuring all new business opportunities go through correct internal approvals
- Managing tender documentation, re-bids and contract records
- Supporting retention and continuous improvement activities for current clients
What We\βre Looking For
Essential
- Minimum 5 years\β professional sales experience (service or technical sector preferred)
- Strong communicator with excellent written and verbal skills
- Highly organised and detail-driven
- Target-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM
Desirable
- Experience selling Hard FM solutions
- FM-related memberships or professional accreditations
- Higher education to HNC/HND or degree level
- Sales or marketing qualifications
