Where will you be working? At M Group Water we help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure. This role will join BGEN – one of the UK’s largest multidisciplinary design and build contractors with over 100 years of industry experience. We support clients in the water, power & energy, pharmaceutical, nuclear and food and beverage industries to deliver next generation, value‑added engineering solutions.

What will you be doing? You will review each tender enquiry to understand its scope and technical needs, highlighting any commercial, technical, or contractual risks for senior management to assess. You will stay closely connected with the client throughout the bid, clarifying requirements and preparing accurate, competitive costings, including subcontractor and supplier prices. You will work with engineering to gather technical details, agree the best solution, and take part in internal reviews. You will produce a clear, professional proposal, attend site visits, update progress in the CRM, support project handover when successful, and contribute to continuous improvement and innovation.

What you’ll bring:

  • Technical understanding of LV design, including MCCs, switchboards, control panels, cable sizing, motor control and field instrumentation
  • Knowledge of electrical control and protection principles
  • Confident communicator who works well with colleagues and clients at every level
  • NVQ Level 3 in Engineering or equivalent
  • Currently holding or working toward a relevant engineering degree
