At M Group Water we help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure. This role will join BGEN - one of the UK's largest multidisciplinary design and build contractors with over 100 years of industry experience. We support clients in the water, power & energy, pharmaceutical, nuclear and food and beverage industries to deliver next generation, value-added engineering solutions.
What will you be doing:
- You will install cable containment systems with care, meeting industry standards and client expectations.
- You will gland and terminate cable systems to BS 7671, working confidently from supplied drawings.
- You will install electrical equipment safely and accurately, following regulations and manufacturer guidance.
- You will test electrical systems, check continuity, and make sure everything is working as it should.
- You will play an active role in planning installations and helping projects run smoothly.
- When faults appear, you will diagnose the issue, find the cause, and apply the right fix to keep everything running reliably.
What you’ll bring:
- Fully qualified electrician with a City & Guilds Apprenticeship or equivalent.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and installation drawings.
- Current ECS Grading Card with BS 7671 training and a valid Health & Safety assessment.
- Helpful knowledge of LV assemblies such as control panels and MCCs.
- Strong understanding of relevant electrical standards and regulations.
- Fully qualified to the 18th Edition.
- Experience in the water industry or heavy industry is an advantage.
