This role will join BGEN - one of the UK’s largest multidisciplinary design and build contractors with over 100 years of industry experience. We support clients in the water, power & energy, pharmaceutical, nuclear and food and beverage industries to deliver next generation, value-added engineering solutions.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Higher Apprentice Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in the commercial side of the construction industry to develop knowledge, skills and experience while studying a relevant qualification and receiving guidance from experienced professionals.
Training and qualificationThe successful candidate will enrol onto the Level 4 Quantity Surveying Technician Apprenticeship, delivered in partnership with one of our college or training providers. Over 2 years, you will work towards a Level 4 Diploma in Quantity Surveying Practice, which provides a strong foundation for progression to a Degree Apprenticeship and professional accreditation with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (CICES).
Career progressionAs a Higher Apprentice, you will be recruited on a permanent contract. Upon successful completion of your apprenticeship, you’ll be well-positioned to progress onto a Degree Apprenticeship and eventually become a Chartered Quantity Surveyor, with a rewarding career path at M Group.
What we’re looking for- GCSE grade 4 or equivalent and above in Maths and English
- A Levels or equivalent Level 3 qualification (e.g., BTEC, T-Level)
- A keen interest in the construction and infrastructure industry
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A collaborative approach and a drive to make a difference
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
