Our team of more than 700 highly skilled people, in 15 offices across the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, and the Middle East, design and deliver engineering solutions for clients in the Property, Transport, Ports and Marine, Water, Renewables and Defence sectors.
We’re hiring a Senior Civils Technician for our growing London office, offering you the chance to be part of something equally challenging and rewarding. Specialising in the Energy, Transport, Water and Built Environment sectors, the Buildings Team is growing rapidly across the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand and apply project drafting standards.
- Ensuring design deliverables meet the required standards of accuracy and quality.
- Production of 3D models and CAD drawings.
- Contributing to the design development - working in conjunction with multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
- Contribute to further developing BG&E CAD standards as/when needed.
Skills / Experience
Essential
- Experience in Civil Engineering projects’ technical delivery (earthworks, roads, drainage).
- Excellent working knowledge of Civil 3D for creating infrastructure models.
- Excellent working knowledge of AutoCAD to produce construction drawings.
- Experience working in CDE.
- Ability to work accurately and flexibly and to integrate your work with other discipline areas.
- Ability to work under tight programmes.
- Strong communication with other team members.
Desirable
- Good working knowledge of Open Roads for creating infrastructure models (highly desirable).
- Experience in 3D modelling using Autodesk Revit.
- Experience in model coordination and clash detection using Navisworks.
- Experience with Autodesk Vehicle tracking.
- Experience working in BIM Level 2.
Qualifications
Desirable
- HND/C qualification within an engineering discipline or equivalent.
- Qualifications in the use of CAD.
