We are seeking a Settlements Supervisor to join our Matched Principal Settlements team. This role supports both pre- and post-trade processing for Fixed Income Bonds and Equities. The successful candidate will take on a key operational role, ensuring the smooth, daily function of all settlements activities. Key Responsibilities- Ensure timely settlement of all asset classes across multiple markets.
- Liaise with counterparties and brokers regarding unconfirmed or unsettled trades, escalating issues where necessary.
- Work closely with custodians to resolve and escalate settlement-related queries.
- Complete daily reconciliations and end-of-day (EOD) checklists.
- Cross-train and support new team members.
- Assist the Deputy Manager or Department Head with projects, process enhancements, and new business initiatives.
- Escalate urgent issues to the Deputy Settlements Manager.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with Operations, Front Office, Risk, and Compliance.
- Provide cover for colleagues during holidays or rotations.
- Minimum of 3 yearsβ settlements experience.
- Strong understanding of Equity and/or Fixed Income products and settlement processes.
- High attention to detail with the ability to work accurately under pressure.
- Knowledge of market regulations and settlement procedures.
- Client-focused mindset with strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with standard settlements and reconciliation systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- Experience with major market settlement and custody platforms (e.g., Euroclear, Clearstream, CREST) is advantageous.
