We are looking for an experienced and motivated Compliance Manager (Benchmarks) to join our London-based Compliance team. This mid-level role is pivotal in ensuring robust oversight of the firm's Benchmark Administration activities in line with the UK Benchmark Regulations (UK BMR).
You will take ownership of compliance monitoring, testing, and reporting processes, ensuring the business meets regulatory obligations and maintains a culture of integrity. Working closely with the EMEA Head of Compliance and other senior stakeholders, you will help strengthen our compliance framework, provide analytical insight, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive Compliance Monitoring and Oversight Framework for Benchmark Administration.
- Draft, review, and maintain the Benchmark Compliance Manual.
- Conduct compliance monitoring reviews and thematic assessments related to benchmark activities.
- Identify, document, and elevate compliance issues or breaches, ensuring timely and effective remediation.
- Analyse data and leverage innovative methods to enhance the efficiency of compliance testing and monitoring.
- Produce KPIs and Management Information (MI) for senior management and governance committees (including ORCC and Board).
- Contribute to Compliance Governance β supporting policy development, training, and committee reporting.
- Interpret and advise on UK and EU regulatory developments, collaborating with the wider EMEA Compliance team.
- Assist with internal and external audits, providing clear documentation and follow-up as needed.
- Strong understanding of UK/EU Benchmark Regulations (UK BMR).
- Background in wholesale financial services, ideally within Banking or Inter-Dealer Broking.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Proven analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong grasp of FCA regulatory frameworks (including COBS, SYSC, and related sourcebooks).
- Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Hands-on experience conducting compliance reviews and reporting findings.
- Project management capability with the ability to handle multiple initiatives.
- Experience working collaboratively across diverse teams in a fast-paced environment.
