We are seeking a dynamic Head of Real Estate & Facilities (EMEA) to lead the strategic and operational management of our diverse property portfolio – spanning trading floors, corporate offices, data centres, and critical operational sites across the EMEA region. This is a pivotal leadership role for a commercial, data-driven, and collaborative professional who thrives in a fast-paced, performance-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership
- Define and execute BGC’s EMEA real estate strategy, aligning with business growth, flexibility, and cost-efficiency goals.
- Lead lease transactions, acquisitions, renewals, and disposals to achieve optimal timing and value.
- Partner with senior business and finance leaders to anticipate and plan for evolving space and location needs.
- Facilities and Workplace Operations
- Oversee all facilities management across EMEA, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-performing workplaces.
- Manage outsourced service providers and uphold performance and compliance standards.
- Lead design, fit-out, and refurbishment programmes that reflect BGC’s brand and culture.
- Drive sustainability and ESG initiatives, including energy efficiency and data reporting.
- Capital Projects
- Govern all capital projects, from new builds to major refurbishments, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
- Oversee vendor selection, tendering, and contractor performance.
- Financial and Data Management
- Manage real estate and facilities budgets with strong financial discipline and transparency.
- Provide financial modelling and data-driven insights to support strategic decisions.
- Maintain accurate metrics on lease, occupancy, cost, and utilisation to inform business planning.
- Leadership and Collaboration
- Serve as a trusted advisor to BGC’s global leadership on all real estate and workplace matters.
- Build and lead a high-performing regional team.
- Partner with Finance, Legal, HR, IT, ESG, and Operations to deliver integrated and effective solutions.
Qualifications and Experience
- 10+ years experience in corporate real estate and facilities management, ideally within financial services or other complex global organisations.
- Strong background managing multi-country portfolios and large-scale projects.
- Deep understanding of commercial leasing, project management, facilities operations, and financial governance.
- Proven leadership in managing teams and outsourced service providers.
- RICS or CoreNet MCR qualification preferred.
