This position is responsible for addressing all mechanical maintenance requirements in the plant as well as some electrical installation and repair.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Repair machinery in accordance with manufacturer specifications, Facilities Superintendent's recommendations, and in conjunction with learned experience.
  • Train other maintenance personnel in a professional and well-planned manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of all machine maintenance activity for future reference.
  • Communicate recurring problems to Facilities Superintendent.
  • Order spare parts, tools, and supplies to ensure uninterrupted maintenance activity.
  • Occasionally design and fabricate components necessary for machine repairs, upgrades, or retrofits.
  • Perform a wide variety of plant maintenance or repair when necessary.
  • Move, place, dismantle, set up, and align all types of plant machines, manufacturing machines, and equipment.

Minimum Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities):

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in machine maintenance.
  • Ability to read prints and troubleshoot various problems.
  • Ability to work independently.

Physical Demands:

Manufacturing environment. Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment; ability to position self to move, install/remove, adjust, position, measure, and handle materials weighing up to 70 pounds.
