The Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven UK Sales Manager to lead and develop our domestic sales operations. This is a key leadership role focused on driving revenue growth through strategic sales planning and effective team management. You\’ll be responsible not only for direct customer relationships, but also for leading a national team of field-based Area Sales Managers to ensure consistent, high-level service and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a UK sales strategy to grow market share and meet revenue targets.
- Manage, mentor, and support a team of field-based Area Sales Managers, setting clear KPIs and providing ongoing development and performance feedback.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key distributors, buying groups, and customers in the UK automotive aftermarket.
- Identify and capitalise on new business opportunities across existing and new customer channels.
- Analyse market trends and competitor activity to inform strategy.
- Collaborate with internal departments including Marketing, Product, and Customer Service to ensure alignment and customer satisfaction.
- Report on team performance and sales funnel progress to senior management.
Person Specification
- Proven success in sales management, ideally within the automotive aftermarket sector.
- Demonstrable experience managing a field sales team to meet and exceed targets.
- Commercially astute with excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Analytical and strategic thinker, comfortable with reporting and forecasting.
- Able to travel across the UK as needed.
