Job Description & Person Specification BGA is the aftermarket division of the British Gaskets Group. We are a world leading original equipment gasket and vehicle component manufacturer and distributor to many of the world\’s vehicle and industrial factories. BGA\’s mission is to supply the world aftermarket with a full range of original quality automotive components. Our range is some of the best in Europe. Located in Swindon with excellent transport links to the M4 Corridor. As we continue to grow and expand our range, we are seeking a dynamic and professional Quality control/Delivery inspector. Key Purpose of the Role: 1. Quality Assurance: Verify that incoming goods meet internal and external quality standards, including specifications, safety requirements, and customer expectations. 2. Inspection and Testing: Perform inspections of products, parts, upon receipt to detect any defects or deviations. 3. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and any corrective actions taken. Report non-conformities to management and suppliers. 4. Process Improvement: Provide feedback to production or logistics teams to improve quality and reduce future issues. 5. Compliance Monitoring: Ensure products comply with relevant regulations, industry standards, and organizational procedures. 6. Allocating stock: Manage quarantine accounts and locations, ensuring timely and effient resolution of nonconforming items. Key Responsibilities: * Carrying out delivery inspections to ensure the delivered items match the specification set by the technical specialist * Report non-conforming items to management and supplier * Monitor the situation through to the full resolution of the issue * Manage quarantine accounts and locations Our ideal candidate would have the following: Essential: * Basic knowledge of automotive parts * Confidence to communicate and deal with people at all levels * Basic IT knowledge including Microsoft, Word, and Excel * Ability to use inspection measuring equipment * Good attention to detail * Experience in working within our warehouse Desirable: * Experience of working within a quality control environment * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings * Warehouse machinery licenses * Technical knowledge of automotive components Benefits: * Workplace pension * On-site parking * Free tea and coffee * Service gifts for 5,10,15 plus years * Increased holiday for long service * Salary Negotiable – DOE Schedule: Monday to Friday
