Set the standard. Own the floor. Shape the Experience.

Are you the coach other coaches watch to learn from? The one who can read a room, lift the energy, and make every single person in the session feel like they belong? BFT East Croydon is looking for a Head Coach to lead the quality of everything that happens on our floor. This is the role for a coach who has outgrown just turning up and delivering a great class, and who wants to own the standard for a whole team.

What We Stand For: BFT East Croydon is built on one idea: every member matters as an individual. We take the time to know people, we support whatever they bring through the door, and we meet them where they are. We make the studio a place where everyone belongs, staff and members alike. We celebrate the win that means something to the person in front of us, a first full press-up as much as a new personal best, not only the fastest and strongest in the room. And we never sit still. We keep looking for what we can do better, because our members deserve the best workout and the best service we can give. If that is how you already coach, you will fit right in.

The Mission: Our members come to BFT for a training experience they cannot get anywhere else. Your job is to protect and raise that standard every day. You will set the bar for coaching quality, lead the team that delivers it, and make sure every member and every trialist leaves the floor wanting to come back. You will coach, and you will lead the people who coach.

What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver exceptional classes: Coach high-energy BFT sessions that show the team and the members exactly what great looks like.
  • Hold the standard: Set, model and hold the coaching standards across the team. Run session prep, give honest feedback, and develop every coach toward their best.
  • Own delivery within the BFT framework: Take ownership of how the BFT programming is executed on our floor, from zone coaching and heart-rate targets to briefing quality, scaling and session flow, so members get the best possible result from every session.
  • Welcome trialists: Own the trialist welcome on the floor. Make first-timers feel seen and supported, and ready to sign up before they have even left the studio.
  • Drive retention: Lead onboarding for new members and build the habits and relationships that keep them training with us for the long term.
  • Support sales on the floor: Turn great sessions into members through experience, referrals and upgrade conversations. This is sales through coaching, not sales through a phone.
  • Provide cover: Step in to cover classes as and when the studio needs it, and help keep the schedule protected.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A coach's coach: Level 3 Personal Training qualification or higher, with strong group coaching experience. You raise the level of every room you walk into.
  • Standard setter: You hold high standards for yourself and have the confidence to hold others to them, with honesty and without ego.
  • People developer: You get satisfaction from making other coaches better, not only from being the best coach yourself.
  • Member obsessed: You understand that retention is won on the floor, in the small moments, session after session.
  • Reliable and organised: The team can count on you to prep, to show up, and to keep the floor running when it matters.
  • BFT ready: You live the brand. Confident not cocky, inclusive, and genuinely there for every member whatever their starting point.

What’s In It For You:

  • Reliable, salaried pay: A consistent wage you can build a life around, not the feast-or-famine of freelance session rates.
  • Long-term commission path: As you grow the studio’s retention and results, there is a commission structure that rewards you for it over the long term.
  • Free training: Full use of the gym and every BFT session, on us.
  • A team to lead: The autonomy and the responsibility to shape a coaching team and a member experience you can be proud of.
  • Career Progression: Opportunity to grow within one of the world’s fastest-growing fitness franchises.

Ready to lead the floor? If you are a brilliant coach who wants to build something bigger than your own timetable, we want to hear from you. Apply now to send your CV and a short note on your coaching experience and what great coaching means to you.

Prepare to share client success stories or transformations you've facilitated, and maybe even bring along a portfolio of client testimonials or progress photos to really let your skills shine.

Be Ready for a Practical Demonstration

Don’t be surprised if your interview at BFT includes a practical 'trial session' where you demonstrate your training techniques.
