Job overview

Microvascular Surgery Clinical Fellow post (SpR / ST6+ Level) in Lower Limb Reconstruction. We wish to appoint a 1x Clinical Microsurgical Fellow - Specialty Registrar Level in Plastic Surgery with a special interest in lower limb and microsurgery in general. 1x post will commence on February 2027 for a 6 month fixed term contract.

Expectations of the position

• The successful candidate will be in year 7 / 8 of plastic surgery training (or equivalent), have passed FRCS (Plast) or equivalent and will have special interest in microsurgery reflected in the application form.
• The successful candidate will be expected to be involved in teaching and to undertake clinical audit projects.
• The successful candidate will be expected to attend specialist clinics in ortho – plastic surgery.
• This post is recognised for training by the Specialist Advisory Committee in Plastic Surgery and has Royal College Approval.
• Candidates must have GMC registration that allows them to work in posts that are not recognised for training.
• It is essential that candidates have experience and familiarity with UK hospital systems and practices or equivalent.
