This creates an exciting future that brings together the best of both organisations. As a single, strong and sustainable organisation, we will not only be able to deliver better outcomes for our patients and fairer care for our population, but it will also provide greater opportunities for our people.

Bristol NHS Foundation Trust recognise the value of a healthy work-life balance. When applying, speak to us about how we might be able to accommodate flexible working, so your work life fits around your home life.

The Emergency Department at Southmead Hospital sees between 300 and 350 patients per day, with a wide variety of conditions predominantly from the North of Bristol but from the region as part of the Trusts tertiary services.

Please note the JD for this role does not have RCEM approval due to the differences with the SPA split within the job plan.

Applicants should have a CCT or be within twelve months of achieving this at the date of interview or be listed on the GMC’s specialist register to be eligible for application for a substantive post. CESR applicants are welcome and must have their CESR in place at the time of interview.
