I'm looking for a potential HR Business Partner to join a fastâgrowing business supplying the events and hospitality industry. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to step into their first HRBP role or an experienced HR professional wanting real responsibility and the chance to make a genuine impact in a growing business.
The company operates across several UK sites, with both permanent teams and significant seasonal workforce fluctuations. The business works with major events and venues, requiring flexibility and operational excellence during peak periods when staff numbers can more than triple.
The role
This is a handsâon, operational HR position. You will work closely with the Managing Director, the board, and regional managers to support the business in some key areas.
- You will lead recruitment campaigns for permanent and seasonal roles across the UK. This will require managing temporary staffing and agency relationships.
- You will also ensure appropriate training activities are carried out for temps, while supporting career development for people across the business.
- You'll play a pivotal role in shaping and strengthening the company's HR framework. Building on your experience and expertise, you'll implement robust processes that ensure operational efficiency and statutory compliance.
- As your role grows, you'll also have the opportunity to steer organisation development initiatives and support the leadership team in transformation projects. Examples will include the development of a unified company culture across all sites, collaborating with Group HR colleagues, and maintaining a visible presence across the business.
About you
- You should have a solid foundation in a generalist HR role, with experience gained in a fastâpaced environment.
- You must be able to demonstrate experience of managing highâvolume hiring, likely in a sector with seasonal requirements such as hospitality, events, leisure, retail, or logistics.
- You'll be used to the challenges of a business with seasonal workforce fluctuations and have a proactive and handsâon approach to every aspect of your work.
- You will need a good grasp of UK employment law, supported by a professional qualification â CIPD Level 5 or equivalent.
- Autonomy is key in this role, so we're seeking someone who can confidently prioritise tasks and make decisions that drive results.
This is a hybrid role, most likely two days per week at home with three days in the West Midlands office occasionally, as well as travelling across the UK as part of your routine. So you will need to currently live in close enough proximity to the M5/M6 corridor.
