The predicted salary is between 14 - 14 £ per hour.

Due to our rapid expansion, we are seeking another senior glazier to join our team with 10 years or more experience. As a Senior Glazier, you will be responsible for overseeing and completing jobs installing glass in windows, doors, shop fronts, skylights, display cases, and more. We are reactive maintenance and planned works so need to be available to cover 1 weekend call out per month. Call out fee is set at £55 and is time and a half on Saturdays/double time on Sundays. We work across all industries so must be able to pass DBS check as we do work in schools and police stations, along with retail shop fronts, healthcare and others.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure health and safety is paramount on each and every job. The correct plant equipment is used for each job along with glass trollies, scaffold ladders etc.
  • Survey jobs and feed back to office what is needed to complete.
  • Measure and cut glass to specified dimensions.
  • Install glass into frames using putty, screws, or clips.
  • Repair or replace damaged glass.
  • Work with a variety of materials including aluminum, steel, and PVC.
  • Use hand tools such as glass cutters, pliers, and suction cups.

Requirements:

  • IPAF/PASMA (not required but helpful).
  • Experience performing door and auto glass repairs (if applicable).
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with construction or building maintenance.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and glass.
  • Experience with measuring tools and techniques.
  • DBS Checked / Full driving licence.
  • SSSTS experience if possible.

Job comes with work van and phone, training certs supplied if you don’t have them and laser and credit card for fuel and materials.
