The predicted salary is between 38228 - 46723 £ per year.

We’re recruiting for an approachable, proactive HR Adviser to join our friendly HR team on a 12 month fixed term contract .

This is an exciting time as we embark on a new 10-year contact with the MOD.

In this varied role, you’ll provide professional, first-point HR advice while contributing to generalist HR activities, including recruitment, absence management, employee relations and policy guidance

Reporting to the HR Business Partner, you will

  • act as the first point of contact for managers and employees seeking HR advice or support.
  • support recruitment activity from helping to shape job adverts and interview questions to advising managers on the most effective recruitment approach.
  • guide managers to apply HR policies fairly, consistently and confidently.
  • help managers support employees through sickness absence and wellbeing-related processes.
  • support employee relations casework and attending formal meetings where required
  • work closely with Payroll to ensure employee changes are captured correctly.
  • contribute to HR projects and reporting to help us deliver an excellent HR service.

You will bring relevant experience from a generalist HR or advisory background, hold a CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent), have a good working knowledge of employment law and be experienced in drafting HR correspondence.
