As a Social Media Producer, you’ll bring fresh perspective to our standout video journalism and written stories, helping them reach further and resonate deeper. You’ll be part of a wider newsroom packed with specialist reporters, producers, and storytellers. There is never a shortage of powerful, human stories — and you’ll be right at the centre of bringing them to life online.
What you’ll be doing:
- Daily publishing across our social platforms, showcasing our strongest stories and ensuring they reach the audiences who care most.
- Creating on‑the‑ground content at major events — from the Inter‑Services Rugby Championships to the BFBS Pro League and beyond.
- Spotting opportunities to elevate our journalism with smart social treatments, fresh angles, and platform‑specific creativity.
- Helping expand our reach, shaping how BFBS Forces News and Sport continues to grow across multiple digital channels.
This is a role for someone who loves storytelling, thrives in a busy newsroom, and wants to make an impact in a community that values authenticity, service, and connection. This role is hybrid working that will include at least two days a week in our head office in Chalfont St Peter. Working hours will generally be Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm, but occasionally may require evening or weekend working as the news agenda dictates.
