The Role

We’re looking for a sharp, empathetic Service Growth Lead to help us scale. This isn’t about traditional 'cold-calling'; it’s about navigating the complex UK healthcare landscape to build partnerships that actually matter. You’ll be the bridge between our tech and the people who need it most, working across the NHS, local government, VCSEs, and the private sector to get our solutions into the right hands.

Responsibilities

  • Growing our footprint
    • Finding the right doors: You’ll identify and expand market segments, from Integrated Care Systems (ICSs) and private insurers to major VCSEs.
    • Long-term strategy: We’re not looking for small, time-limited wins. You’ll develop multi-year entry strategies that ensure our growth is sustainable and high-impact.
  • Leading the conversation and influencing the conversion
    • The Pitch: You’ll be at the front, delivering data-led presentations with a human touch to everyone from Commissioners to Clinical Leads. You need to be as comfortable talking 'social value' and impact as you are talking 'ROI.'
    • Changing the narrative: You’ll need to be the credible voice in the room, helping traditional gatekeepers see the genuine value of tech-enabled mental health support.
    • Running the room: You’ll steer high-stakes stakeholder meetings, making sure they don’t just end in 'nice ideas' but in clear, actionable results.
    • Thinking creatively: You’ll need to adapt according to the situation, and help buyers identify sources of funding where there might be none.
  • Relationship & Account Management
    • Relationship building: You’ll move past being transactional to build trust-based partnerships that help advance the sector for the benefit of families.
    • Negotiation: You’ll handle contract discussions with a cool head, balancing our growth targets with the ethical nuances of the youth and mental health space.
    • Risk & Record keeping: You’ll keep a close eye on the pipeline via our CRM and stay ahead of potential blockers (like regulatory shifts or procurement hurdles) before they become problems.
  • Connecting the dots
    • Data-led decisions: You’ll use market trends and internal data to tweak our approach. You should be comfortable using numbers to tell a story.
    • Cross-team collaboration: You’ll feed back what you hear on the ground to our product and clinical teams, ensuring our tech evolves to solve real-world problems.

What we’re looking for:

  • A natural communicator: You can read a room and adapt your tone. You understand your audience’s needs and facilitate accordingly to achieve the optimal outcome. You know when to be a salesperson and when to be a partner.
  • A strategic thinker: You don’t just chase leads; you map out the 'why' and the 'how' of a partnership before you even pick up the phone.
  • Health-tech literate: You understand the UK health-tech space and can explain complex digital tools without the jargon.
  • Resilient & Patient: You know the youth and mental health sector can be slow. You’re comfortable with long lead times and know that a 'not right now' is often just an invitation to try a different door later.

Diversity

As a diverse team we are keen to receive applications from people of all backgrounds, ages, and types of formal or informal education. We encourage applications from all across the UK. All applicants must have the right to work in the UK.

Great things about working here

  • Female-led and diverse company
  • Driven, go-getting and values-based culture
  • NICE recommended products
  • Multi-award winning company featured in national media
  • Company previously backed by the NHS, Innovate UK and partnerships with NIHR funded medtech cooperative, and numerous academic institutions.

What we offer

  • Flexible working arrangements for agreed number of hours
  • Hybrid working with access to our workspace in Farringdon (Central London). This is not a fully remote role. Office attendance is expected and the number of days in each month can be negotiated.

How to apply

To apply please send your CV with a Cover Letter to kelly.tham@bfb-labs.com explaining why you think you are suited to this role. Applications will be reviewed as they are received.
