Requirements
- 1-3 years of QA experience in a software product environment, ideally B2B SaaS
- This could be your first QA Engineer role if you’ve got experience as a QA Technician/Tester, Product Test Analyst - or have transferable skills from another role (e.g. Customer Success)
- Career in QA
- Strong manual and exploratory testing skills, with a clear strategy for understanding the problem space
- A keen eye for detail and the patience to dig into harder-to-reproduce issues
- Genuine curiosity about how products work end to end
- Solid working knowledge of browsers and browser technologies, and comfort testing across web and mobile
- Comfortable working alongside Customer Success, communicating clearly with non-technical colleagues, and helping translate between customers and engineering
- Clear, precise written communication, particularly when documenting bugs and test cases
- Strong commercial judgement - not every bug is equally important, and QA decisions involve trade-offs
- Comfortable in a small, fast-paced team where you are expected to juggle, and where processes are still being shaped
- Some of the tools and apps we use regularly are; Linear, Slack, Sentry, Figma, Browserstack, Chrome DevTools, Claude, Stripe and more
What the job involves
- We are hiring a Product Test Analyst to join our small Product team, reporting to our lead QA Engineer and working across both of our ticketing platforms - Beyonk and BookingHound - which together power thousands of visitor attractions and process millions of bookings each year
- Our customers depend on us during their busiest seasons, where regressions and bugs can be real revenue lost, so quality matters here in a very tangible way
- You will hold a very high bar on quality, stability and usability, own sign-off on bug fixes and feature releases, and help shape how QA scales as both products grow
- The role also extends into internal technical support - working closely with our Customer Success team to reproduce, prioritise and triage bugs that customers run into, and using your product knowledge to help unblock them
- You will get exposure across QA, Product, Engineering and Customer Success, with room to grow into broader QA, automation, or adjacent product roles over time
- Develop deep subject matter expertise across Beyonk and BookingHound, including the provider dashboards, customer-facing booking flows, POS, and partner integrations
- Hold a very high bar on quality, stability and usability across both products
- Own sign-off on feature & fixes before they are released to production
- Run thorough manual and exploratory testing on new features and fixes
- Validate work against acceptance criteria and challenge gaps in requirements
- Reproduce, isolate, and clearly document bugs reported internally and by customers
- Test newer extensions of the products including our MCP work and other tools, as we expand how customers and partners interact with Beyonk
- Build a robust manual regression test suite
- Identify key areas of the products where we could benefit from building automation tests
- Support incident response when issues reach production, helping diagnose, contain, and learn from them
- Act as the first point of contact for technical issues escalated from Customer Success, taking pressure off the wider product and design team
- Work with Customer Success & Product teams to assess urgency, impact, and priority of customer-reported issues
- Reproduce issues, gather evidence, and raise high-quality Linear tickets with clear repro steps, business impact and any known workaround
- Help Customer Success troubleshoot product knowledge questions where the answer is not a bug, distinguishing training and documentation gaps from real product issues
- Feed recurring issues back into product, documentation and QA processes so they stop coming up
- Work with lead QA Engineer to identify recurring issues and propose process or tooling changes to prevent them
- Understand product development lifecycle and how you impact each stage and work with other teams
- Pair with Engineering and Product team early in the delivery process and bring up valuable insights in team ceremonies
- Provide structured feedback on tickets, designs, and technical approaches from a quality and risk perspective
- Within the first 6 to 12 months, the successful candidate will:
- Be a trusted subject matter expert across both Beyonk and BookingHound, owning testing and sign-off for their own areas of the product confidently and independently
- Have meaningfully reduced the volume of customer-reported issues escalating into the product and design team for triage
- Have measurably improved coverage and reliability in at least one part of the product that needed it
- Have built strong working relationships with Engineering, Product, and Customer Success
