The role involves delivering high quality data and legislative support to existing customers, maintaining a high level of customer service and ensuring a positive customer experience. You will build strong relationships with customers through the understanding of their needs and requirements to support with their packaging data and legislative obligations.

The responsibilities include:

  • Maintain and develop relationships with our packaging small producer compliance members, providing proactive support to meet their data submission and compliance obligations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for owned accounts, collaborating with the wider packaging team to ensure accurate and timely submissions.
  • Interpret packaging compliance legislation in the context of customer business activities (full training on the regulations will be given) to provide technical, regulatory and data support to existing and prospective small producers.
  • Ensure accurate and on-time submissions to the regulator (including verification, audits and follow-ups) and support wider team tasks such as invoicing calculators, webinars and service improvements.
  • Drive high-quality service delivery through monitoring of the shared mailbox, maintaining accurate customer records and other quality checks.
  • Proactive input into improving the packaging service delivery including customer experience, efficiencies and developing new customer resources.

You will be comfortable and confident in building a rapport with customers, communicating over the phone, in person and via email to provide support with their packaging compliance obligations. You will have an appetite for learning, being able to absorb new information quickly and effectively, interpret guidance and apply this to different scenarios. The successful candidate will have a strong ability to prioritise, multi-task and manage time effectively. You will be proficient with Microsoft Office, with a specific focus on Excel, and have a logical and methodical approach with an eye for detail. The role is fast paced and varied, so you should be prepared to think on your feet, and able to prioritise and manage your workload effectively.

You must have a strong work ethic, with excellent organisational and administrative skills and the ability to meet internal and external deadlines. You will have a ‘muck in’ approach to teamwork, be flexible and highly resilient to change, and will be committed to growing with the business.

We require all members of staff to work from the office 3 days a week, therefore living within commuting distance to Skipton should be considered when applying.

If you have previous experience working in a customer facing role then even better. A wicked sense of humour is a bonus too!
