With more than 30 years’ experience of supporting ambitious and dynamic SMEs across the UK and Ireland, we have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to join our team in Glasgow.

HR CONSULTANT

Permanent, Full-time Hybrid working arrangement with travel to company/client sites.

£35,000 - £40,000 plus commission, dependent on experience.

Our range of support services are designed to provide professional help to small and medium sized employers where it may be inappropriate to have the additional overhead cost of an in-house professional. We work across all industries and are respected for our pragmatic approach to problem solving and ensuring that we make the lives of our clients pain free by taking the stress out of HR issues.

The Role:

Reporting to the Consulting Director, the jobholder would be required to provide advice and support to client organisations in all aspects of HR. The successful person will also be required to help promote and sell our services by attending networking events and dealing with incoming new business enquiries.

In addition, the HR Consultant would be expected to carry out the following tasks:

  • Provide pragmatic and professional advice and guidance (both remotely and face to face) to clients ensuring that the client is aware of potential risks/benefits to their organisation.
  • Draft and prepare HR documentation for Clients.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation and to brief clients as necessary.
  • Undertake consultancy assignments or training-related project work, if requested, and produce written reports for client organisations.

Given our wide-ranging client base, this role will suit someone who has membership of the CIPD with at least 5 years’ practical human resources experience. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, pragmatic problem-solving skills and good time management ability.

Required Criteria

  • Do you have membership of the CIPD?
  • A minimum of 5 years’ relevant hands-on HR experience?
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Pragmatic problem-solving skills
  • Good time management ability
  • An integral part of our team but will be required to work independently
  • Hold a current driving license and have access to a vehicle
