Principal – Managing Principal – Advisory & Regulatory
BeyondFS is a rapidly growing UK-based consultancy, having grown fivefold in the past three years. We provide ‘expert-led’ advisory and change services, helping 1st and 2nd line financial crime teams to tackle their biggest challenges, from compliance and risk management, to transforming their financial crime functions to better meet the challenges of today and tomorrow.

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a Principal/Managing Principal to join our team. You will:
- Contribute to the development and growth of BeyondFS financial crime propositions.
 - Lead and deliver our complex transformation programmes.
 - Contribute towards recruitment objectives, and other people-related activities.
 - Manage internal projects.

Successful candidate must be able to evidence:
- 6 – 8 years in financial services with industry and consulting experience, with exposure to a wide range of financial services products, with either disciplines and compliance systems in a number of geographies.
 - Supporting EC 2LOD policy and/or compliance monitoring function or 1LOD EC risk management function.
 - Working with senior leaders on regulatory audit engagements (e.g., Section 166/Skilled Person/Monitoring programmes).
 - Working with and change programmes to deliver FC technology (a working understanding of FC Technology).
 - Can demonstrate integration of new regulatory requirements and understanding their impact.
 - Evidence of successfully owning / co-owning deliverables as workstream lead or project manager within enterprise transformation change initiatives
 - Collaborating with senior leaders or their deputies to deliver risk outcomes/strategy.
 - Developing practical solutions to regulatory issues with a focus on risk outcomes.
 - Developing risk management frameworks (or parts of) and drafting supporting documentation.
 - Identifying opportunities for account growth and sales and contributing to developing proposals and campaigns.
 - Track record of supporting strong client relationships, playing a leading role in client engagements and accounts
 - Confident to drive meetings and facilitated workshops
 - Ability to organise, prioritise and manage multiple activities
 - Proficient in creating and developing written and visual materials like PowerPoint presentation and reports, with an ability to understand and synthesise large or complex data
 - Support the development of others within the team, training and coaching more junior colleagues, sharing your expertise and experience
 
Skillset
- Can demonstrate expertise in AML, CTF, Financial Sanctions, Anti-Bribery & Corruption, Facilitation of Tax Evasion, Fraud prevention.
 - Deep understanding of FC risk management frameworks (e.g., risk assessment, including creating/executing risk assessment models (CRA/EWRA), Politically Exposed Persons, Adverse Media typology assessments, tuning and calibration exercises.
 - Advisory experience across operational areas such as KYC, Screening, Transaction Monitoring, SARs, Court Orders, Exits etc.
 - Operating/working in quality control and quality assurance frameworks.
 - Good knowledge of global legislation and regulatory environments (particularly: UK, EU and US).
 - Working towards or holding a recognised financial crime prevention qualification (ICA or ACAMs).
 - A strong intellectual curiosity and a proactive approach to learning through independent research.
 - Excellent problem-solving abilities through consultative questioning
 - Effective communication, structuring insights into clear message, and engaging with stakeholders.
 - Innovative thinking with a positive attitude to change, embracing new ideas to improve performance.
 - Supporting with materials at industry events.
 
Remuneration And Benefits
You will be recognised and rewarded with:
- Competitive renumeration: This is made up of a base salary from £80,000 to £100,000 depending on experience, plus 20% bonus based on company and personal performance.
 - Leave: 25 days holiday increasing by a day for each year in service to a total of 29 days (plus we will give you your birthday off)
 - Additional leave: you can buy extra days up to a maximum of 30 per year
 - Flexible benefits: £3000 annual allowance from day one of employment for you to allocate as you wish. Choose from benefits such as private medical insurance, critical illness cover, buy additional holiday or take the amount as extra cash if you prefer and electric car and ride to work schemes available on successful completion of your probationary period.
