Are you a Search Manager OR SEO Manager looking for a new role on a 6-month contract (potential to go permanent) and working on a part-time basis? Our client is ideally looking for 3-4 days per week. However, I would still like to hear from you if you are looking for full-time. This role can be based in Lancaster, Bristol or London and they are open to remote working for the right person, so you can choose your location.

About the role

Our client is leading the way with digital transformation, working with a range of exciting clients across non-profit, charity and consumer brands. They are looking for an SEO Manager/Search Manager who can join the team and focus on helping them map out their SEO offering for retainer clients. This will involve reviewing their processes, developing SEO strategies, and collaborating with development, design, and marketing on best practices. This is a strategic role where you can come in and really put your knowledge and experience to use in a team that values your input and wants to improve. There will be elements of hands-on SEO implementation, but you will have a Technical SEO Specialist to manage delivery.

Contract details

This role is an initial 6-month FTC (with potential to move perm for the right person) with a salary of £42k-£44k (note this is the full-time equivalent and will be prorated to part-time depending on the hours agreed). Responsibilities

As SEO Manager / Search Manager, you will be leading and delivering SEO strategies across long-term retainer clients. You will be embedding SEO thinking and best practice into the agency\’s core website development process and will play a key role working with the design, development and marketing team, ensuring SEO is baked into projects from inception to delivery. Not only will you be working on client strategies, but you will also help evaluate and shape how a dedicated search function can best serve clients long term. You will be coming in with fresh ideas and proven experience in having done this before.

About You / Qualifications

  • You will have experience in working within an agency or group of companies in a role that has been strategic and hands-on in delivering SEO strategies to improve website build processes
  • An SEO leader that the team can call on for all SEO-related advice
  • You will have experience in helping to shape an SEO offering for an agency and be confident in looking at structure, function and best practice, and happy to help shape a division and make changes to the ways of working
  • You will have experience in defining SEO services, which will help the team upsell for the future and will be working with a development team on the integration of SEO into the web build process
  • You will have proven experience in leading client strategy development, implementation, reporting and optimisation
  • Completing technical audits, keyword research, content gap analysis, backlink strategies and on-page optimisation and working with the technical SEO specialist on the implementation
  • Experience in GA4, BTM, SEMrush, Ahrefs
