Beyond Talent Solutions are working with a growing business who are looking to appoint a Payroll Officer either on a full or part time basis to take ownership of their monthly payroll process for a workforce of approximately 350 employees. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands-on payroll role in a varied environment, working with different shift patterns and ensuring a smooth, accurate payroll cycle.
The Role
- Processing monthly payroll for circa 350 employees
- Managing varying shift patterns, overtime, and variable pay elements
- Maintaining and updating payroll records on Sage Payroll
- Calculating tax, NI, pensions, and statutory payments (SSP, SMP, etc.)
- Handling payroll queries from employees and managers
- Reconciling payroll reports and ensuring accuracy before submission
- Submitting RTI reports and liaising with HMRC where required
- Supporting audits and compliance processes
About You
- Previous experience in a payroll role (end-to-end exposure preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of Sage Payroll
- Confident managing high-volume payroll with variable hours/shift patterns
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Able to manage deadlines and work independently
- Strong communication skills - approachable and supportive
