Beyond Talent are delighted to be supporting a well-established accountancy practice based in Middleton to recruit an experienced Accountant to join its expanding team! This role offers the chance to work in a dynamic environment where your skills and expertise will be valued and developed. The successful candidate will manage a varied portfolio of clients, including limited companies, sole traders, partnerships, and charities with turnover levels ranging from £10k to £5m. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit year-end accounts and corporation tax computations to HMRC and Companies House for partner review.
- Prepare and submit charity accounts.
- Address client queries throughout the year.
- Prepare VAT returns, management accounts, and cash flow forecasts.
- Provide bookkeeping support to clients as required.
- Prepare self-assessment tax returns.
- Review the work of junior staff members.
- Meet face-to-face with clients to discuss accounts.
- Engage with potential new clients and assist with onboarding.
Profile & Requirements
- A minimum of five years’ experience working in an accountancy practice.
- Proficiency in using SAGE, QuickBooks, Xero, and Excel.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational skills to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
