Beyond Talent Solutions are delighted to be supporting a growing accountancy practice as they look to appoint a Payroll Officer to join their team on a part-time basis. As this is a new role, due to business growth, our client pen to experienced payrollers or someone from a payroll or accountancy background wanting to learn the role.
Working as part of a friendly and supportive team, you'll be responsible for managing a varied payroll portfolio of approximately 400 weekly and monthly payrolls.
The Role
You'll take ownership of end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring payrolls are completed accurately and on time whilst remaining compliant with current legislation.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing weekly and monthly payrolls for a varied client portfolio
- Managing payrolls from start to finish
- Processing statutory payments including SMP, SSP and SPP
- Managing pension submissions and pension auto-enrolment requirements
- Completing pension declarations and ensuring compliance obligations are met
- Processing new starters and leavers
- Calculating holiday pay and statutory entitlements
- Liaising directly with clients regarding payroll queries
- Maintaining accurate payroll records and employee information
- Ensuring payroll deadlines are met consistently
