Beyond Talent is working with a well-established, growing business in the Barnsley area to recruit an Assistant Accountant into their finance team. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role and wants to develop their experience across both transactional finance and month-end processes - with full training and support provided.

The role: You’ll play a key part in supporting the finance function, with responsibilities including:

  • Managing the purchase ledger
  • Performing bank reconciliations
  • Supporting with accruals and prepayments
  • Handling rebates and intercompany transactions
  • Assisting with import-related accounting
  • Reconciling company credit cards
  • Supporting the production of management accounts

This is a hands-on role with plenty of exposure and the chance to really build on your accounting knowledge.

  • Strong understanding of purchase ledger and reconciliations
