What Your Day Will Look Like
As a QA Engineer at Beyond Sports, you’ll play a key role in the quality and stability of our digital sports products. You’ll be involved throughout the development lifecycle and work closely with developers, product owners, and other squads. Your day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Develop and execute automated and manual test cases across full user journeys, integrations, and edge cases.
- Perform manual, exploratory, and integration testing, documenting defects and supporting root‑cause analysis.
- Review and challenge requirements early to ensure solutions are testable, robust, and free of logic gaps.
- Verify data integrity and API compatibility through contract testing and debugging tools.
- Own QA processes within your squad, creating test documentation, contributing to planning and estimation, and driving best practices.

Tech Stack and Skill Requirements

Required Experience- 2 years of experience in a commercial software QA role.
- Obtained or working toward ISTQB Foundation certification.
- Strong understanding of digital product logic, how features behave, interact, and impact the user experience.
- Ability to develop and execute automated test scenarios for web or mobile applications.
- Experience with integration testing, ensuring smooth communication between components (e.g., API ↔ database).
- Skilled in analysing requirements, identifying logic gaps, and spotting edge cases early.
- Proficient in defect diagnosis, reporting, and tracking, with solid knowledge of testing processes and the full QA lifecycle.
- Automation Tools: Cypress, Appium, or similar frameworks.
- API & Contract Testing: Postman and contract testing principles.
- Debugging Tools: Charles Proxy, Browser DevTools.
- Development Methodologies: Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and/or Waterfall.
- Project Tooling: JIRA, Confluence, and basic Git awareness.
