Join Sony Sports’ dynamic technology team as an IT Systems Builder, where you’ll play a key role in keeping the business running smoothly. You’ll be responsible for delivering, configuring, and supporting laptops and workstations for employees across the organisation.
This is a hands‑on, fast‑paced role ideal for someone who enjoys working with hardware, solving problems, and providing excellent support to end users. You’ll also gain exposure to a wide range of systems and technologies, with clear progression opportunities into 2nd line support and beyond.
What You’ll Be Doing- Procure, build, configure, and ship laptops and workstations for new hires
- Refresh and upgrade devices for existing employees
- Manage onboarding and offboarding processes across IT systems
- Maintain stock levels of IT equipment in line with business needs
- Order hardware, software, and licences, and raise purchase orders
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues (Mac & Windows)
- Coordinate repairs and warranty claims with vendors
- Maintain accurate IT asset inventories
- Provide 1st line IT support via ticketing systems and in person
- Support AV setup for company-wide meetings and events
- Contribute to small IT projects and continuous improvements
- Experience working in a customer‑focused IT support environment
- Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS
- Hands‑on experience building and deploying end‑user hardware (especially laptops)
- Familiarity with IT ticketing systems
- Experience working within a medium to large IT team
- Solid understanding of modern hardware (CPUs, RAM, GPUs, mobile devices, etc.) and how to match specs to user needs
- Excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills
- A proactive, reliable, and approachable attitude
- IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+ or similar)
- Experience with cloud directories (e.g., Azure, Kandji)
- Endpoint security tools (e.g., Microsoft Defender, ESET)
- Networking knowledge (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN troubleshooting)
- Experience in a fast‑paced or retail tech environment
- Clear progression path into 2nd line support and wider IT roles
- Exposure to a broad tech stack including Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, Slack, Jira, and more
