Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen to expand our maintenance team. The role requires a Maintenance Operative to provide general building maintenance across our two residential services to ensure that all provisions are kept safe, secure and in good condition. Our provisions offer support to adults aged between 16-64 years who have complex support needs, including learning disability, challenging behaviour, autism and mental health needs.
This is a full-time, permanent position that has been created due to the continuous expansion of the company. Every day will be different, so you can expect to undertake work that's as varied as it is rewarding.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a building trade role or property maintenance role
- Experience of general maintenance work (e.g. brickwork, plaster, tiling repairs, painting, flooring repairs and basic drainage and plumbing)
- Good time management with proven ability to meet deadlines and prioritise work as necessary to deal with multiple and competing demands on a regular basis
- Flexible attitude to work/to be available for out of hours calls if required, in the case of emergencies (additional pay to be agreed)
- Able to obtain a satisfactory enhanced DBS
