McAlister Family Law is seeking a Newly Qualified to 1 year PQE Solicitor to join our team, with a focus on international children and Hague Convention matters. This is a rare opportunity to work in a highly specialised, fast-moving and deeply meaningful area of family law.
About the role
You will work on complex, cross-border cases involving international child abduction and related proceedings. These matters are often urgent and sensitive, requiring excellent judgment, resilience, and outstanding client care.
About you
- NQ–1 year PQE solicitor
- Has experience in international/Hague Convention work, or a genuine and demonstrable interest in this area
- Has knowledge of Legal Aid funding (an advantage, but not essential)
- Passionate about complex, cross-border cases and motivated by making a real difference to families
- Comfortable working under pressure, particularly in urgent matters
- An excellent communicator with strong client care skills
- Willing to travel, including regular travel to London to represent clients
