We are seeking to recruit a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver & Stores Assistant to join our team based in Moira. This is a varied role that combines delivery driving with warehouse and stores responsibilities, making it ideal for someone who enjoys a hands-on position and takes pride in providing excellent service to customers.

Hours per week: 38hrs, 8am-5pm Mon-Thurs, 8am-12pm Friday

Job Outline
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring customer orders are delivered accurately and on time, while also supporting the efficient day-to-day operation of our stores. The role will involve:
- Picking and packing customer orders
- Planning delivery routes
- Making deliveries throughout Northern Ireland using a company van
- Occasionally collecting goods from local suppliers
- Assisting with stock control and goods-in procedures
- Maintaining an organised and safe warehouse environment
- Updating stock records
- Assisting with trade counter sales by greeting customers and processing sales orders
Full product training will be provided. The position is primarily based at our Moira office, with approximately 50-60% of working time spent carrying out delivery duties. The remaining time will be spent undertaking stores and warehouse responsibilities to support the smooth running of the business.
A full, clean driving licence is essential. Forklift experience would be advantageous, although training can be provided for the right candidate.
About The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the efficient operation of the warehouse and ensuring customer orders are delivered accurately and on time. Key responsibilities include:
- Picking, packing and preparing customer orders for dispatch
- Delivering goods safely and efficiently to customers and construction sites throughout Northern Ireland using a company vehicle
- Planning delivery routes in conjunction with the Stores Manager to maximise efficiency
- Collecting goods from local suppliers as required
- Loading and unloading vehicles safely, including the use of a forklift where appropriate (training provided if required)
- Receiving, checking and storing incoming deliveries accurately
- Assisting with stock control, stock checks and maintaining accurate stock records
- Keeping the warehouse and stores areas clean, organised and free from hazards
- Assisting with trade counter sales by greeting customers, processing sales orders and providing basic product advice (full training will be provided)
- Maintaining high standards of customer service and representing the company professionally at all times
- Complying with all company Health & Safety policies and procedures
