Location: Based at Gracehill After School Club

Hours of Work: Part-time position 23 hours per week, including two mornings at Breakfast Club (hours negotiable)

Salary: £14.50

The Role: Gracehill After School Club is seeking an After School Assistant (Level 5) to join our dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified childcare professional who is passionate about creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for children. As a Level 5 assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the Manager, ensuring smooth daily operations. You will lead by example, providing high-quality care and engaging activities that promote learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all children.
  • Collect children from school and ensure their welfare at all times.
  • Share responsibility for Breakfast Club and after-school activities.
  • Plan and deliver a stimulating range of age-appropriate activities.
  • Build positive relationships with parents, carers, and schools.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's learning and development.
  • Follow safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • Work flexibly as part of the team, supporting colleagues when needed.
  • Assume responsibility for the club in the Manager's absence, ensuring smooth operations and high standards of care.
