The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 Β£ per year.
We need a strong team player to assist the Street Works Team in operating the London Permit Scheme. The role involves assessing and coordinating permits on the highway within the Borough, working closely with Street Works Inspectors and Highway Area Teams to deliver excellent service to all highway users.
Responsibilities
- Assess and coordinate permit applications under the London Permit Scheme.
- Electronically administer comments, inspections, defects and associated charges.
- Identify and resolve inaccuracies in data and other information.
- Ensure compliance with the New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA), London Permit Scheme (LoPS) and Traffic Management Act.
- Collaborate with Street Works Inspectors to meet all legislative requirements.
- Respond to emergencies that may affect the highway and residential areas.
- Maintain office presence 5 days a week until established, then at least 3 days a week.
Qualifications
- Experience in coordination or an operational technical support environment desirable.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Versatile IT skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to adapt to bespoke IT systems and databases.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of relevant legislation (New Roads and Street Works Act, London Permit Scheme, Traffic Management Act) is an advantage.
