About the Role: We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, and motivated Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team. This is a full-time PAYE position offering job security, consistent work, and the opportunity to take pride in maintaining outdoor spaces to the highest standards. You will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of grounds maintenance and landscaping tasks across various sites, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to specification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out general grounds maintenance duties including grass cutting, hedge trimming, strimming, and leaf clearance; weeding, planting, pruning, and mulching.
- General site tidiness.
- Maintenance of flower beds, shrub borders, and green spaces.
- Operate and maintain machinery such as mowers, strimmers, blowers, and hedge cutters.
- Undertake soft landscaping and minor hard landscaping tasks as required.
- Ensure all equipment is used safely and maintained in good working order.
- Work as part of a team to meet schedules and deadlines.
- Follow health and safety policies and report any site issues or hazards.
- Represent the company professionally when dealing with clients and the public.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or horticulture.
- Ability to operate grounds maintenance machinery safely and effectively.
- Good level of physical fitness and willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Valid Full UK driving licence.
