About the Role
We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, and motivated Gardener to join our team. This is a Part‑time PAYE position offering job security, consistent work, and the opportunity to take pride in maintaining outdoor spaces to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general grounds maintenance duties including: Grass cutting, hedge trimming, strimming, and leaf clearance;
- Weeding, planting, pruning, and mulching
- General site tidiness
- Maintenance of flower beds, shrub borders, and green spaces
- Operate and maintain machinery such as mowers, strimmers, blowers, and hedge cutters
- Undertake soft landscaping and minor hard landscaping tasks as required
- Ensure all equipment is used safely and maintained in good working order
- Work as part of a team to meet schedules and deadlines
- Follow health and safety policies and report any site issues or hazards
- Represent the company professionally when dealing with clients and the public
Requirements
- Previous experience in gardening, landscaping, or horticulture
- Ability to operate grounds maintenance machinery safely and effectively
- Good level of physical fitness and willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Valid Full UK driving licence with no claims or points
Desirable
- PA1/PA6 pesticide spraying certificates
- NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Horticulture, Landscaping, or related discipline
- Experience working on commercial or local authority contracts
- Experience working in residential private gardens
- Knowledge of plants and diseases
