We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to support science and animal management students to achieve their potential in their post 16 studies. Successful candidates will work with a range of students across different levels of study both inside and outside of the classroom providing high quality academic support across A level and vocational courses at levels 2 and 3.
The successful candidate will also be required to provide holiday cover for our animal management technicians as well as ad hoc sickness cover. Therefore, the successful candidate needs to be passionate about the care and welfare of animals. You’ll play a key role in the care and welfare of a wide range of animal species, supporting both animal husbandry and facility operations. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with a genuine love for animals and a strong interest in animal behaviour, welfare, and management.
Successful candidates should be educated to degree level and enjoy working with young people. The post is over 5 days a week, from August 2026. Successful candidates will be required to possess an enhanced DBS certificate to be employed at the College. Please be aware that we are also required to conduct online searches as part of our safeguarding checks and due diligence for all shortlisted candidates.
This is a term time only post with additional days to cover the animal management technicians holidays. Holiday cover will include weekend working and working during College holidays.
