Are you a passionate and enthusiastic Textiles and Fashion teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity to inspire and guide students on their creative journey? We are looking for a creative and inspiring Fashion and Textiles teacher to join our vibrant and talented team of art, design, fashion and photography teachers within our 'Outstanding' College.

This is an exciting opportunity for an innovative educator with a passion for both traditional and contemporary artistic expression, as well as fashion design and textiles. An ability to contribute to wider art areas would be an advantage. Fashion and Textiles is part of the Art suite of qualifications and is located in the Art, Media and Performance section within the College. This is a thriving, growing section which has achieved excellent student outcomes.

Educated to degree level, the successful candidate will teach across a range of courses including the T Level in fashion, Level 2 and Level 3 art courses and the BTEC Fashion certificate, contributing to an engaging and ambitious curriculum that inspires students to develop both technical skill and creative confidence. This role is suitable for an ECT or an experienced teacher. The College has a comprehensive ECT programme to support ECTs. Whilst previous post‑16 experience is an advantage, it is not essential. Many of our staff have joined us from a pre‑16 environment. This is an ideal opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher who has been working in schools to move into post‑16 education.

The post attracts a competitive salary and generous holidays along with access to the Teachers Pension Scheme. This is part time in the first instance. Full time may be available in the future subject to growth. The successful candidate will be required to possess an enhanced DBS certificate to be employed at the College. Candidates are required to complete an application form and provide a covering letter. Please be aware that an online search is completed as part of the application process in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education requirements. Interviews will take place on Monday 18th May.
