Reports To: Senior Management Team

About the Role: Bewliehill is seeking an experienced, motivated, and hands‑on Central Kitchen Manager to lead the day‑to‑day operations of our Central Production Unit (CPU). This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the efficient production, quality, safety, and distribution of food products across our business. The successful candidate will oversee kitchen operations, manage production teams, maintain food safety standards, control costs, and drive continuous improvement to support our growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all aspects of CPU operations, ensuring production targets are achieved safely and efficiently.
  • Plan and coordinate daily food production schedules to meet business demand.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, hygiene, and HACCP requirements.
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation.
  • Manage stock levels, ordering, inventory control, and supplier relationships.
  • Monitor labour costs, food costs, and operational efficiencies.
  • Recruit, train, develop, and motivate kitchen and production staff.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and team meetings.
  • Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Work closely with senior management to support menu development and business growth initiatives.
  • Ensure equipment is maintained and any maintenance issues are addressed promptly.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and teamwork.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a senior kitchen management, production kitchen, or food manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of food safety legislation, HACCP, and health & safety requirements.
  • Experience managing production schedules and operational KPIs.
  • Strong organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Financial awareness with experience controlling food and labour costs.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
