Solicitors in Blackheath Village, London, SE3 0TJ seek a friendly and experienced Family Law Solicitor to join their happy, hardworking team in a well-established two partner firm based in a beautiful part of South East London. Beverley Morris & Co. have comfortable, well equipped, air-conditioned offices overlooking Blackheath Common. They are adjacent to a café-restaurant, three doors away from The Ivy Café and within close proximity of several well-known retail outlets. They are a couple of minutes’ walk from Blackheath main line station (London Bridge 12 minutes), on several bus routes and Blackheath is one stop from Lewisham DLR.

The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic, committed Family Law Solicitor to head up a department, supported by a paralegal. There are partnership prospects for the right person. The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload to include divorce, financial settlements, pre-nuptial and post nuptial agreements, separation agreements, cohabitation agreements and child arrangements. They will work as part of the firm’s non-property team which comprises two Private Client solicitors, a Litigation/Employment solicitor and support staff.

Requirements

  • Private Family Law Solicitor with at least 5+ years PQE.
  • Extensive experience in dealing with all aspects of private family law.
  • NB Experience in TOLATA is advantageous.
  • Be (or become) a member of Resolution since specialist accreditation is advantageous.
  • Have good technical knowledge.
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • An awareness of risk management.
  • An interest and ability in business development.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Exemplary client care.
  • The successful candidate will have a keen interest in generating new business by attending appropriate networking groups and events, some of which may be out of hours.

Work location
