About The Role

We are looking for an International Sales Executive to help grow participation in the London Wine Competition, London Spirits Competition, and London Beer Competition. You will work directly with wineries, distilleries, breweries, importers, distributors, and beverage brands across global markets. Your role will be to build relationships, generate opportunities, conduct sales conversations, and help producers understand how participation in the London Competitions can support their marketing, export, distribution, and brand-building objectives. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys speaking with business owners, export managers, sales directors, and marketing professionals from around the world and wants to build a career within the global wine and spirits industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales & Business Development
    • Prospect and contact wineries, distilleries, breweries, importers, and beverage brands globally.
    • Conduct outreach via phone, email, LinkedIn, and virtual meetings.
    • Present the value and benefits of the London Competitions.
    • Manage the complete sales process from prospecting to conversion.
    • Follow up with leads and maintain an active sales pipeline.
    • Achieve monthly sales and revenue targets.
    • Maintain accurate CRM records and activity reports.
  • Customer Relationship Management
    • Build relationships with winery owners, export managers, sales directors, marketing managers, and beverage producers.
    • Understand customer objectives, target markets, and growth plans.
    • Provide professional guidance and support throughout the customer journey.
    • Maintain relationships with existing entrants and encourage repeat participation.
  • Lead Generation
    • Research and identify new wineries, distilleries, breweries, and beverage brands worldwide.
    • Build prospect databases and sales lists.
    • Execute outbound email, LinkedIn, and phone outreach campaigns.
    • Work closely with the marketing team to convert inbound inquiries into sales opportunities.
  • Industry Knowledge
    • Develop a strong understanding of the global wine, spirits, and beer industries.
    • Learn how producers approach exports, distribution, retail, and hospitality channels.
    • Stay informed about industry trends and market developments.
    • Become a trusted industry resource for customers.

Requirements

  • Required
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in sales, business development, account management, or customer-facing roles.
    • Excellent spoken and written English.
    • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
    • Comfortable making outbound calls and conducting virtual sales meetings.
    • Self-motivated, target-driven, and organized.
    • Experience using CRM systems and sales tools.
    • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Preferred
    • Experience in wine, spirits, beer, hospitality, FMCG, media, events, or B2B sales.
    • WSET Level 1 or higher.
    • Understanding of wine varietals, wine regions, appellations, and major spirits categories.
    • Familiarity with wineries, distilleries, breweries, importers, and distributors.
    • Experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator and international prospecting.
