We are seeking a reliable and proactive IT Support Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting day-to-day IT operations across multiple office locations, ensuring systems, networks, and hardware are maintained to a high standard. This role requires travel between offices; therefore, a full driving licence and access to a car are essential.
Key Deliverables:
- Administration and maintenance of Active Directory (user accounts, group policies, permissions, security groups, etc.)
- Administration of Microsoft 365 / Office 365 (user setup, mailbox management, licensing, troubleshooting, SharePoint/Teams support)
- Network troubleshooting, including diagnosing connectivity issues, resolving hardware and configuration problems, and liaising with third-party providers where necessary
- Installation, configuration, and deployment of IT hardware, including desktops, laptops, printers, networking equipment, and peripherals
- Providing on-site and remote technical support to staff
- Maintaining IT documentation and asset records
- Assisting with system upgrades, patches, and security updates
- Proactively identify recurring and systemic issues across the business, implement permanent and scalable solutions, and ensure these are consistently rolled out and embedded throughout the firm.
- Work alongside the IT Manager to assess current organisational structures and processes, putting forward recommendations to streamline operations and ensure alignment with the firm's anticipated growth and strategic objectives.
- Ensure appropriate departmental cover, recognising the small team structure and maintaining continuity of service.
- Demonstrate flexibility in the role, including carrying out system updates, maintenance, and repairs during periods of staff absence or outside normal working hours where required.
Minimum Skills, Knowledge & Abilities Required:
- A knowledge of Active Directory administration
- Microsoft 365 / Office 365 administration
- Network troubleshooting
- IT hardware installation and configuration
- Full UK driving licence
- Access to a car and willingness to travel between office locations
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
Education and Experience Required:
- IT related qualification or two years of relevant experience
