Our healthcare real estate team is band 1 ranked for development work in Chambers & Partners and was shortlisted as \”Outstanding Legal Team of the Year\” at Property Week\’s 2025 Property Awards. In both legal directories we are consistently ranked in the top tier for our practices across the UK, with multiple individuals in our Property team recognised as leading lawyers.
We buy, build, sell, scale, develop, dispose and finance our clients\’ health and social care property. We have experienced significant growth in our property work in this sector over the last couple of years. This growth is set to continue, with major tender wins on high profile projects and clients across the country.
The team advises all major sub-markets in independent healthcare (including all types of social care, independent hospitals, primary care and retirement living) for the widest range of clients; from investors and funders to developers and operators, consortiums to suppliers.
Not only will you develop your technical skills and knowledge of the healthcare sector, you will also have plenty of opportunity to meet clients, grow your own network and develop other business development skills.

The role
Due to our growth, a vacancy has arisen within our Healthcare Real Estate team.
The successful candidate will be a commercial property solicitor able to take on an existing caseload. There are genuine promotion prospects for those with the ambition and skills to do so, plenty of variation in the work and plenty of support from both the property team and the wider firm to help you develop your own practice.
This role will involve advising clients on the full range of property matters, but with particular emphasis on acquisition and disposals, real estate finance and development work for our wide range of clients within the sector.
Experience and confidence in dealing with the following would be a real plus:
- Working on health or social care transactions/ projects;
- Negotiation of acquisitions and disposals (freehold and leasehold);
- Preparation of reports on title, certificates of title and advice notes;
- Corporate support work (such as share or asset purchases/sales;
- Corporate support work such as reviewing, amending and negotiating asset or share purchase agreements and carrying out related due diligence;
- Development projects; and
- Working across legal departments with others as part of a project team
