Our Health & Care: Regulatory team provides advice and support to health, social care, education and housing organisations across the public and independent sector.
We are a team of over 60 colleagues operating out of all four of our offices. We take pride in providing high-quality support to our clients which is clear, user-friendly and responsive. We are able to work flexibly and are open to discussions about alternative working patterns.
The team\’s services include management of complex litigation in the Court of Protection, human rights, inquests, mental health, safeguarding, patient safety, serious incident response, complaints and disputes, HSE/CQC inspection and enforcement, education, children law & challenges to decision-making within health and social care.
The Role
Our Health & Care: Regulatory team has an exciting opportunity for a Paralegal to join our team in either Bristol, Birmingham or Leeds, with flexible, hybrid working. This role will involve supporting lawyers who are advising a variety of clients on a range of healthcare and regulatory legal issues. You will be supporting fee earners with large, complex case matters, and you will also manage a small case load of your own.

What we are looking for from you
- An interest in developing a career in health and social care law with some education law;
- An ability to work confidently and effectively with others, clients and colleagues alike
- Technical excellence, organised, lateral thinker with an eye for detail;
- Enthusiasm to develop legal skills and a willingness to take on challenges;
- Team player, with the temperament to form strong and sustained working partnerships
- Practical and commercial approach
- Ideally, prior experience of working in a Paralegal role
- Prior exposure to health & care work is also desirable
