Our Litigation, Advisory & Regulatory department deals with a substantial volume of often high profile commercial and regulatory disputes involving both private and public law. A vacancy has arisen for either a Costs Paralegal or a Costs Draftsperson, with up to 3 years' experience, to join the Insurance team in our Litigation, Advisory & Regulatory department. The role will involve dealing with inter parties costs issues and working for both private and public sector clients including insurers, local authorities, housing associations and NHS Resolution.
What we are looking for from you:
- Preparing cost schedules for summary assessment
- Advising on third party costs
- Assisting in producing Precedents H, R and T
- Negotiating costs
- Considering/preparing Bills of Costs, Points of Dispute and Replies
- Dealing with provisional assessments
- Preparing files for detailed assessment
- Ad hoc costs advice internally and externally
